I would like to extend my condolences for the loss of your love one. Jehovah God made a promise to us all at Revelation 21:3-4 states, And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Very soon now, we will never experience losing our loved ones in death.

I want to offer my condolences to the Updegraff family. Hebrews 4:15 says, “ For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tested in all respects as we have, but without sin.” Yes, Jesus endured sufferings when on earth, including the pain of losing a love one (John 11: 33, 35, 38). It has been promised from our God of comfort that sickness, pain, and death will be removed ((Isaiah 33:24; 1 Corinthians 15:26; Revelation 21:4,5). An additional promise given is that all our loved ones in the memorial tombs will be awaken from asleep in death to enjoy life as our loving Creator purposed (Isaiah 26:19; Psalms 145:16). Allow these words to keep comforting all of you.
