Pastor Racheal Michelle Glover Sinclair

Pastor Racheal Michelle Glover Sinclair, the daughter of late Eddie Glover, Sr; and Julia Mae Glover, was born on January 16, 1971, in Sumter County, SC. She departed this life on Monday, April 12, 2021, at her home in Columbia, SC.  During her second battle with cancer, she never lost faith or hope.

Faith and hope is how she lived her life.  Her positive spirit would light up a room along with her dazzling and reassuring smile.  Her sense of humor was enlightening, and her singing voice was one in a million.

At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and accepted the calling on her life to preach at the young age of 21. She was ordained as a minister at Reid Chapel A.M.E Church in Sumter, SC, under Pastor Eliza E. Black's leadership. In January of 2015, she and her husband, Rev. Michael T. Sinclair founded House of God Ministries.  

Racheal embodied the teachings of Christ in the things she did and with each relationship she cherished.  She blessed her community with food drives, giveaways, personal counseling, and the gift of unconditional love.

Her home was filled with abundant home-cooked meals, family fun, and delicious desserts.  Her table was also abundant with kindness and understanding for visitors who needed to fill up their souls with thoughtful advice and support.

Racheal was the ultimate organizer and understood how important it was for the family to bond over celebrations and vacations.   Whether it was a cruise, a beach getaway, or a trip to Hawaii, she created family opportunities to connect and make memories. Nothing gave her more joy than seeing others happy.  

Education was always an essential component of Racheal's life. She was a graduate of Carrick High School in Pittsburgh, PA. She obtained an associate's degree in Business from The Bradford School of Management, her bachelor's degree in Humanities at Allen University. She later obtained her Master of Business Administration at the University of Phoenix. She worked as an Auditor for Verizon Wireless for eighteen years. After retiring from her career at Verizon, she transitioned full-time into ministry, where she provided some of her most meaningful community work and contributions

She leaves to cherish her memories are her husband, Michael T. Sinclair; one daughter, Minister Tiesha Porter (Anthony) of Indianapolis, IN; two stepdaughters, Mililani T. Sinclair and Stephanie D. Sinclair of Alexandria, VA; and special daughter, Leah Glover of Sumter, SC; three grandchildren; Aaliyah Wallace, Joseph (JoJo) Porter, and Anthony (AJ) Porter III; two sisters, Catherine Council (Thomas) of Eastover, SC and Annie Mae Miller (Charles) of Horatio, SC; three brothers, Eddie Glover, Jr (Maggie) of Rembert, SC, Marvin Glover (Delores) and Alvin Glover, both of Dalzell, SC;  bonus mother, Barbara (Bobbi) Ciara of Norfolk, VA; three godchildren; three aunts, Minnie Brooks, Maggie Rose (Leroy) of Sumter, SC, and Caroline Green of Sumter, SC; one uncle, Horace Glover of Sumter of SC; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, spiritual children, and church family.

She is preceded in death by parents Eddie Glover Sr and Julia Mae Glover, Eddie Glover III; a brother; and Julia Ann Glover, a sister.
