Zelma Pauline Wright of Decatur, Georgia was born March 27, 1947 in Blythewood, South Carolina to the late Ezell Wright and Lizzie Addison Wright. She was the eldest child of twelve children. She departed this earthy journey on Monday, January 4, 2021.
Zelma was educated in the public schools of Richland County. She was a graduate of Bethel High School in Blythewood, South Carolina. She was also a graduated of Benedict College.
At an early age, Zelma was baptized at Bethel Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, family and friends. Her son, Christopher, was the apple of her eye. Zelma was always an entrepreneur, putting her eclectic style on everything she touched.
Zelma was preceded in death by her parents, Ezell and Lizzie A. Wright; sister, Doretha M. Wright; brothers, Ezell Wright, III and Bobby Addison.
Zelma leaves cherished memories to her loving son, Christopher James Wright of Stockbridge, GA; sisters, Ellen Wright, Ann Wright, Gladys (Craig) Mayo, Elizabeth Wright, and Pandora Outen all of Columbia, SC, Viola Cooke, Gussie Cornelius of Blythewood, SC, Josie (LC) Lane of Lugoff, SC; raised in the home, Gladys Addison of Columbia, SC; brother, Wesley (Patricia) Wright of Columbia, SC; one special uncle, Jerry D. Addison; three aunts, Josephine Tucker of Ridgeway, SC, Bessie Summers, and Polly Belton of Columbia, SC; her special family and cousins of High Point, NC; nieces, nephews, and host of relatives and friends.
