“A precious one from us is gone,

a voice we loved is stilled

A place is vacant in our home

that never can be filled.”

Veronica Lynn Milton, affectionately known as “Roni” daughter of Dorothy A. Milton and Grear B. Milton was born October 16, 1982 at St. Francis Hospital, Trenton, NJ.  She quietly slipped away surrounded by her loved ones on January 5, 2004 at Prisma Richland Hospital, Columbia, SC.

Roni received her formal education at Ewing High School, Ewing Township, NJ.  During this time, she attended Union Baptist Church, Trenton, NJ also singing on the Youth Choir.  Subsequent to relocating to Hopkins, SC she graduated from Lower Richland High School in Hopkins.

Roni enhanced her education by attending ECPI University majoring in Practical Nursing. She enthusiastically pursued her training until health concerns curtailed her studies.

Roni had a beautiful spirit of giving generously.  She was exceptionally helpful and loved caring for her patients especially Geriatrics. Roni also was willing to assist her co-workers whenever and wherever needed.

Roni loved life and having lots of fun with her sisters and friends specifically Karaoke and game night.  She also enjoyed traveling domestically and internationally.  Her preferred places to visit were beaches including Miami, FL, Ocho Rios, Jamaica and her ultimate favorite Myrtle Beach, SC.  When relaxing, Roni liked to “binge watch” Two Broke Girls and Gilded Age. She often identified herself as a “sophisticated foodie and one who appreciated fine dining and excellent wine”.

Preceding Veronica in death were her paternal Grandmother and Uncle, Althea and Ollie Milton respectively; maternal Grandparents, Richard (Booty) and Annie (Sweet) Johnson including Roni’s bonus Father Paul J. Liles.

Roni leaves to cherish fond memories, her loving Mother Dorothy A. Milton, Hopkins, SC.  Her adoring Father Grear (Priscilla) of Cartersville, GA, one son Jordan Henry Milton, and one daughter Jessica Eliza Milton, both of Hopkins, SC. sisters Reneta J. Rideout, Greenville, SC, Amie P. Liles, Hopkins, SC, Ericka A. Liles, Columbia, SC and Jessica (Shawn) Carter, Hopkins, SC and
