Ms. Shirley Favor

Shirley Mae Favor was born on September 25, 1952 to Margaret Favor Smalls and Samuel Jackson, Jr. in Lexington, South Carolina. She departed this life on September 9, 2021.

Shirley was educated in the public schools of Richland County and was a graduate of Hopkins High School.

Seeking divine guidance at an early age, she became a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Swansea, South Carolina.

Shirley’s memory will be eternally engraved in the hearts of all who knew her. To know her was to love her.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Fred Mobley.

Shirley leaves to continue and cherish the memory of a life well spent her loving son, John Mobley, Jr. of Desoto, TX; four sisters, Margaret Scipio of Cleveland, OH, Vivian McCathen of Montgomery Village, MD, Karen Isaac and Thera Kinsler both of Columbia, SC; one brother, Jonathan Smalls, Jr.; one sister-in-law, Vanessa Mobley; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
