Patricia Elaine Allen was born on November 29, 1958 at Fort Jackson Army Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. Pat was the beloved third child of SFC Eddie James and Geraldine Allen. On November 12, 2020, she went home to be with the Lord and other beloved family members who preceded her.
Patricia, affectionately known as “Pat”, “Trish”, or “Trisha”, was educated in the private and public school system of Richland County, South Carolina. She graduated from W. J. Keenan High School in 1976 and continued her education at Midlands Technical College in Columbia, South Carolina and Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina. Over the years she worked for Revco, First Citizens Bank, the Container Corporation of Carolina, the Department of Agriculture and began her own small business making jewelry.
Pat was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who loved traveling, fashion, art and interior design. Creativity was her love and it was expressed through cooking, especially making meals and baking cakes for family and friends. Her passion was designing and making unique jewelry for women and men. She loved participating in her neighborhood Rosewood Crawfish Festival where she would showcase her new ideas and designs.
Patricia was blessed with two wonderful sons: DuQuay DeShawn Allen and DaMarius MiKyle Gerard Allen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, SFC Eddie James and Geraldine Allen; her grandparents and her beloved uncle, Hershel L. Johnson.
Patricia leaves to cherish her loving memory: sons, DuQuay DeShawn Allen (Myisha) of Snellville, GA, DaMarius MiKyle Gerard Allen of Charleston, SC; grandson, Mason DeShawn Allen; sister, Priscilla Batten of Baltimore, MD; brothers, Edward G. Allen of Columbia, SC, and Kenneth D. Allen (Ruth Anne) of Charlotte, NC; nieces, Torah Craft, and Krista Allen, Jaime Allen; nephew, Richard Malik Allen and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
