Ms. Olivia Faust Obituary

Olivia Moore Faust was born to the late Mary Bailey and Henry Moore on April 10, 1931 in Richland County, South Carolina and fell asleep in death on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 in Hospice Care at Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fletcher Faust; daughter, Eartha Faust; and brother, Wimley Moore.

Olivia attended Howard School in her early years before going to Booker T. Washington High School, known for its outstanding marching band. She worked at Capital City Manufacturing before retiring from Richland Wholesale as a key punch operator in 1993. Being one of the first families to live in Golden Acres community, she was loved and respected. Young and old would stop by just to say hello when riding through the neighborhood.

She dedicated her life to Jehovah as one of his Witnesses in 1959. Through much opposition she served Jehovah faithfully and started regular pioneering in 1995. She loved the ministry of teaching people the Bible (known as field service). Her day in the ministry started with her Over the Hill Gang at 7 AM and ended at 2 PM. So, if you needed her to do anything for you, call after 2 PM.

Olivia’s love for her family was also evident. If you ever visited her, she would always ask do you need anything, can I get you something. And we can’t forget the early morning weekly calls we would get to wake us up, even though we had moved out and married, she was our alarm clock. And after every visit no matter what time you left, you had to call when you got home to let her know you made it safely, if not she definitely would call you. Her favorite saying was “No Complaint”. Even in her last days, she was apologizing for not being able to take care of herself. She was our Rock and will truly be missed.

She is survived by her daughters; Lillian Hall, Audrey (Marvin) Robinson, Valerie Hampton, and Wendy (Tim) Goodwin; sons, Richard Hudson, Fletcher “Donny” Faust, Wimley “Doug” (Avia) Faust, Larry Faust and Timothy (Terri) Faust; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Oliver “Tunie” Jones; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
