Ms. Lynette Holland

With hearts full of love and sorrow, we say goodbye to Lynette Marie Holland, who passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, at the age of 73. Lynette was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished daughter, a loyal sister, and a loving Nana.

Lynette leaves behind her daughter, Amy Holland, her son, Alex Holland, and her grandchildren, Simon Mueller, Molly Van Ness, Ethan Mueller, Ben Holland, Rachael Holland, and Claire Van Ness. She is also survived by her sister, Lou Ann Scholl, and her brother Bill DeRocher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Holland, and her parents, Louis and Lorette DeRocher. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jim DeRocher, and her sister, Mary Jo Dusing.

Lynette's husband was in the Air Force, so they moved around every few years until his retirement in 1988, when they moved to Phoenix. Lynette worked as a merchandise sales person at the various Base Exchanges where they lived. She also worked at JC Penney and The Room Store in the same capacity. Lynette enjoyed walking and hiking and traveling. She was an adventurer at heart, even did skydiving! And Lynette was a woman of faith, a Christian and long-time member of the Church of Christ. She was baptized shortly after she got married and locally, was a member of the Southwest congregation, then Northwest, then Chandler, and then here at West Olive, where her husband served as one of the elders.

Lynette's laughter and love will be deeply missed, but the beautiful memories she created will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Lynette's funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at West Olive Church of Christ, located at 10935 W Olive Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345.
