Louetta Green Cutner, affectionately known as “Aunt Pang” or “Pudding”, was born July 26, 1926 in Columbia, South Carolina, Richland County to the late Charles and Salley Hoefer Green.
Louetta accepted Christ as her savior at the early age of 13 and joined Zion Chapel Church #1 under the leadership of Reverend Smith. She was a faithful active member of the Usher Board for many years.
Louetta was educated in public schools of Richland County and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1945. Upon graduation she worked at Tapp’s Department Store for three years. She relocated to New York City to seek a better life to help provide for her parents and was employed by Scraft Candy Factory for six years. She joined Cannon Baptist Church in New York City under Christian experience, where she faithfully served.
Louetta soon rekindled an old friendship with Danny Cutner that lead to a true romance. Louetta and Danny returned to Columbia to receive blessings from their parents and were united holy matrimony in July 1954. The union lasted for twenty-three wonderful years and they had one son, Danny Jr. Danny Sr. departed this life and went to be with the Lord in 1979. Louetta relocated back to Columbia soon thereafter, restoring her membership to Zion Chapel #1.
Louetta was a Christian woman, loving her savior Jesus Christ, believing and living according to His word. Her home has always been open to both young and old. A home where you could always find love shelter, words of wisdom and a great meal with her special pound cake. Louetta through her spirit of mission would always provide help to the sick and weary. She was not just “Aunt Pang” but a second mother to all her nieces and nephews, raising her grandnephew, Ronnie. Her life motto: “If I could help somebody, my living was not in vain”.
Louetta leaves to mourn, her son: Danny Cutner (Vickie) Fordman, Jr; grandnephew, Ronnie Smith; nephew, Marvin Darryl (Holly) Taylor; niece, Beverly Shine; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Green, and Catherine Green both of Columbia, SC; devoted loving caregivers, nieces, Ruby Thomas and Renee Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
