Ms. Karen R. Jackson

October 14, 1943 ~ April 14, 2022 (age 78)

Obituary

Karen R. (Lucas) Jackson was born on October 14, 1943, to Chester L. Lucas and Mary E. Lucas. She was the oldest of three siblings, Richard and Robert Lucas. She was educated in the Cleveland, OH Public School System and received her high school diploma.

God truly blessed Karen with many talents, including the love of art, singing, and dancing. She was one of the first African-American women in the city of Thousand Oaks, California, to be a pole climber for the telephone company back in the early 70s. She genuinely loved hard work.

Karen was a very kind and considerate soft-spoken person. Even though she never had any children, she loved all children who embraced her present. Karen departed from this side of God's glorious kingdom on April 14, 2022. And she leaves behind a family that truly loved her.

In immediate relation, Karen is survived by her mother, Mary E. Grant, and brother Richard L. Lucas Sr. And she was preceded in death by her brother Robert A Lucas Sr. She also leaves behind four nephews that she loved deeply: Calvin S Moore, Richard L. Lucas, Jr., Charles A. Lucas, Robert A Lucas, Jr.; two great-nephews, Camari McKinney, Carmelo A. Lucas; six great-nieces, Cearra Harris, Deidrah Lucas, Jones, Marissa Moore, Camryn M. Lucas, Zoe M. Lucas, Leah S. Lucas; and two great-great nieces, Malinah R. Jones, and Mila R. Jones.

The family honored and commemorated her life privately.
