Jacqueline E. DeVeaux Morris was born on September 8, 1947, to the late Enoch and Robertha DeVeaux. A gifted educator and devoted leader, Jacqueline served as a teacher and school principal, shaping countless young lives with her wisdom, patience, and compassion. Later, she chose to dedicate herself fully to her most cherished role—as a stay-at-home mother to her beloved daughter, Nicole Morris.
Jacqueline’s life reflected a deep love of creativity and faith. She enjoyed many artistic and creative pursuits, but above all, her heart belonged to God. Her devotion, kindness, and quiet strength touched all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Enoch and Robertha DeVeaux, and by her former husband, Anthony A. Morris. Jacqueline is survived by her brother, Jerome DeVeaux, his wife Peir, and their daughters Joy, Tiffany, Heather, and Erin; her loving daughter Nicole Morris, Nicole’s husband Jonathan; and their children Alexandra, Jasmine, Anthony, and Robert. She is also remembered fondly by a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Jacqueline’s life was one of faith, love, and grace—an enduring testimony to the beauty of a life well-lived and a heart steadfast in God.
