Ms. Frances Hunter Jackson was born March 2, 1936 in Cayce, South Carolina to the late Eugene and Jessie Bell Hunter. She departed this life on Friday January 10, 2025 at the age of Eighty-Eight.
Ms. Jackson was educated in the public schools of Lexington County, SC.
Ms. Jackson was married to the late Mr. Ben Jackson, Jr. on December 28, 1951 He went home to be with the Lord on April 30, 2016. After marrying Mr. Ben Jackson, Ms. Jackson, and her husband continued to work diligently in Mt Zion Baptist Church, Cayce, SC for many years, where she served as an outstanding and dedicated member for more than 70 years. She served as a member of the Pastors Aide, Willing Workers, Jubilee Choir, Mass Choir, intercessory prayer ministry, the missionary, and the Kitchen Ministry. Ms. Jackson Joined Turner Memorial in 2023. She served as a leader on Turner Memorials Nightly Mainline Prayer Ministry and was known as a worshiper as she attended church every Sunday and stood giving praise to God for most of the worship service
Ms. Jackson was an excellent seamstress and was a homemaker.She was a sharp dresser and would quickly let you know that everything she wore, was self-made. She had the innate ability to tell you just what she thought, whether you liked it or not, but she did it with a smile and a heart of love. Ms. Jackson loved her family and friends; she never met a stranger. She loved her church family, and she loved her “Pastor”, but most of all Ms.Jackson loved the Lord.
Ms. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Jessie Bell Hunter, husband, Ben Jackson, Jr, son, Harold Bruce Jackson, siblings Lester Jenkins, Sr, Erskine Hunter, and Gladys Perry, and a great granddaughter, Faith Miriam Jackson
Ms. Frances Jackson leaves to mourn her passing; one daughter, Acquanetta J. Gray. of Columbia, S.C.; three grandchildren, Harold Gray Jr. (Charlise)., Secunda Nicole Jackson of Columbia, SC., and Francesa Jackson, Austin, Texas. One Brother-In-law, Ernest Washington, Detroit Michigan, One Sister-In-law, Deloris Bates, Columbia, SC Nine Great Grandsand she leaves a host of nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great nephews; many other loving relatives and caring friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
