Ms. Crystal Murphy

Crystal Dionne Murphy was born July 10, 1975, in Chester, South Carolina to Samuel Robert Murphy and Wendia Warren Hunt. God called her home on Sunday, September 12, 2021.

Crystal was educated in the public schools of Chester County, South Carolina and was a graduate of Chester County High School Class of 1993. She also attended South Carolina State College in Orangeburg, South Carolina, and Barber Scotia College in Concord, North Carolina.

At an early age, Crystal was baptized at Second Wilson Baptist Church of Chester, South Carolina, where she came to know and love the Lord during her childhood.

Before her health declined, Crystal enjoyed working with children as an early childcare teacher. She loved to draw and used her artistic talents and creativity in the classroom.

Crystal was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tiyi Watson; her maternal grandparents, Arthur and Margaret Warren; and paternal grandparents, Cleveland Murphy and Mary Alice Wilkes Murphy.

Crystal leaves to cherish loving memories a daughter, Briana Murphy of Charleston, SC; three sons, Amun Watson, Asaru Watson and Aye Watson, all of Fort Mill, SC; father, Samuel (Darlene) Murphy of Buffalo, NY; her mother Wendia (Anthony) Hunt of Jacksonville, FL; one brother, Tarachjae Murphy of Chester, SC; one sister, Raven Murphy of Buffalo, NY; one grandson, Scott D. Stephens, III of Charleston, SC; five uncles and three aunts,  Kenneth (Vanessa) Warren of Charlotte, NC, Craig (Brenda) Warren of Chester, SC, Kenneth (Debbie) Murphy of Baltimore, MD, Rosemary (David) Ferguson of Chester, SC, Cathy Murphy of Chester, SC, Jack Murphy of Chester, SC, Cleveland Murphy of Chester, SC, and Valarie Murphy Taylor of Chester, SC; four nieces; two nephews; and many cousins, other relatives and friends.
