Bonnie White Ellison was born August 17, 1958, in Miami Florida. She was the beloved
daughter of the late Thomas White Sr and Alice Davis White. Bonnie departed this life on
Monday March 30th, 2026. Bonnie was educated in the public schools of Richland District Two
where she graduated from Eau Claire High School. She attended college and graduated with a
certification in phlebotomy. Bonnie worked for years in various doctor’s offices as a
phlebotomist.
Ms. Bonnie was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Auxiliary where she
served for 13 years. During that time, she was in 92nd Buffalo Unit in Columbia where she held
the position of Unit Commander for 3 years. She was also the Unit Adjutant at the Frank
Montgomery Unit 3 in Spartanburg. She also held other positions during her time with the DAV
Auxiliary. Those positions included, 1st Junior Vice Commander, Senior Vice Commander,
Commander, and Commander and Adjutant on the South Carolina state level. Bonnie also
founded and was the editor of the DAV Auxiliary State Newsletter.
In addition to her parents, her loving brother, John Richardson, preceded her in death.
Those who will forever cherish fond and precious memories of Bonnie Ellison include her two
sons, Ryando (Sherri) Ellison, and Randell (Alisha) Ellison; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-
grandchildren; a brother,Thomas (Cicely) White, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear
friends who will dearly miss her.
