Mrs. Verna Mae Jefferson Obituary

Verna Mae Robinson Jefferson was born to the late Elijah and Mary Robinson on December 26, 1939 in Columbus, Georgia. Verna lovingly and graciously departed this life in the presence of her children on Wednesday, September 16, 2020.

In the early years, Verna worked for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and later retired after many years. She also served in the United States Navy for a short period of time. Verna Mae was also a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

In addition to her parents, Verna was preceded in death by her brother, Derrick A. Robinson; and a son, Rhoddie “TJ” Jefferson.

Verna is survived by her children Benita Jefferson (Jeff) Gloyne, Sharon Marie Jefferson, and Ruby N. Jefferson; a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews all whom will miss her dearly.
