Mrs. Sherena Chaney-Wade

Sherena Veronica Chaney-Wade was born July 3, 1987, to Donald Chaney and Dorothy Taylor.
She departed this life on April 19, 2024.
Sherena began her education at St. Jude Catholic Elementary School. She was later educated in
the public schools of Sumter County and Richland County and was a proud graduate of Eau
Claire High School, Class of 2007. After completing high school, Sherena obtained her associate
degree in medical assisting at EPCI University in 2019. She was then employed with Your
Health Physician’s Office.
Sherena was a beautiful soul who loved children and her dog, Nova. She was a selfless person
who everyone loved.
Sherena was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Dora Mae Potts and Estelle Chaney.
Sherena leaves to cherish the memories of her life her husband, James Wade, Jr.; her parents,
Dorothy (Harry) Taylor and Donald Chaney; siblings, Ebony Maxwell of Jacksonville, FL,
Michelle Chaney, Donald Chaney, and Franco Pressley all of Columbia, SC; brother-in-law,
Ricardo Wade; three special nieces that she loved dearly, Trinity (Michael) Lawrence, Maya
Stills, and D’Iona Chaney; two nephews that she helped raise, Franco Pressley and Christian
Pressley; a new addition to the family, Dream Chaney; one goddaughter, Empress Jones; bonus
family member, James (Kwak) Wade, Sr.; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who
loved her dearly.
