Mrs. Sharon Lea Hockings

Sharon Lea Hockings died Monday, October 28, 2024, in Columbia, South Carolina surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born on March 20, 1955, in Austin, Texas. She traveled the world as a kid, thanks to her dad being in the Air Force. Finally settling in Iowa, which is where she met and married Sam Hockings in 1973. Sharon moved to South Carolina in 2010 to help care for her parents and enjoy the warm weather. 

Sharon loved her family fiercely, especially her grandson, Henry. It was rare to talk to her where he wasn't mentioned. She was happiest listening to music, puttering and having a good meal. Sharon was full of life, always sharing a smile and playing music loudly.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Edward "Bill".

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Natalea; son-in-law, Toby; grandson, Henry; her mother, Jean; her sister, Kim and many other family members who will all miss her dearly.
