Mrs. Sarah Ellen Williams Smith, daughter of the late Truly Williams Dozier and Murray Dozier, was born in Salters, South Carolina on February 24, 1936. She was the wife of the late Gillen Beasley Smith.
Sarah lived a life that truly exemplified love and caring for others. God bestowed a special gift on her that allowed her to establish many cherished and memorable relationships in all areas of her life. Those who were fortunate to have met her instantly experienced her loving personality and sweet smile. She acquired several “daughters and sons” throughout her life who affectionately refer to her as their mother.
For many years, Sarah fostered these loving relationships in her customer service and daycare work environment. Until her illness hindered her attendance, she enjoyed working in several departments at Chappelle Memorial A.M.E. Church. She diligently served as a Stewardess, Missionary and a member of the Usher Board. Sarah was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 4262. She was recognized and honored as a longtime member of the Greenview Community.

Smith and Ida Johnson; goddaughter, Ariel (Rashaun) Vaughn; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and other loving relatives and friends who will truly miss her.
