Quayshanda Tequela Wilson, affectionately known as "Shanda" of Columbia, South Carolina
was born April 11, 1984, to Jeanette Roberts and Michael Legette. She transitioned from earth on
Sunday, February 2, 2025, at her residence.
Shanda attended the public schools of Richland County, South Carolina and graduated from
Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology in Columbia. She was formerly employed at South
Carolina Department of Mental Health and worked similar jobs for over 15 years.
Quayshanda was a lovely mother to her four children and grandchildren. She was the life of the
party, who always spoke her mind. Shanda had the ability to make everyone laugh no matter
where she was, you would know she was in the building. Her hobbies were doing hair, nails,
traveling, shopping, among other things; but her passion was taking care of and helping those in
need. She always enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her family and
friends.
Shanda was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William Tommy Sims Sr.; paternal
grandfather, Earl Legette; maternal aunt, Rochelle Sims; maternal uncles, William Tommy Sims
Jr., and Roger Sims.
Left to cherished beautiful memories are her husband, Willie Wilson, her loving children, SGT
Ja'Ques Legette, Hasharrie Turnipseed, Howard Turnipseed, and Stephon Turnipseed; her
grandchildren, Kali Dixon, Kinsley Dixon, Aaliyah Bracey and Kaliyah Bracey; mother, Jeanette
(Jessie) Roberts; her sisters Santana Legette, Jakiesha (Mike) Crim; her brothers, Nicholous
Legette, Tyrone (Maqui) Thompson, Jessie (Betty) Roberts Jr.; her maternal grandmother,
Blondell Sims; paternal grandmother, Annie Ruth Legette; ten nieces, eight nephews, eleven
aunts, eight uncles, and a host of loving family and friends.
Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She may be gone from our
sight, but her love and the lessons she imparted will remain with us always. May she rest in
eternal peace.
