Lizzie Wider Harris of Eastover, South Carolina was born September 24, 1942, to the late McKiver and Rosa Lee Wider. She departed this earthly life to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at her home surrounded by those she cherished most, her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Lizzie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Goodwill Baptist Church. She later joined Truth Church and Ministries, where she served faithfully on the nursery and kitchen ministries.
Lizzie was educated in the public school system of Richland County.
At the tender age of 17, Lizzie met the love of her life, Edward Harris Sr. Shortly thereafter they were married on March 17, 1962. From their union three beautiful children were born.
Lizzie touched many lives and left the mark of love on everyone she met. She was known best for her pound cake and chocolate delights “them cookies”, which were requested at every event. She dedicated her life to serving others. She was the true definition of selflessness until her last breath. Her love for people, cooking, baking, and her giving heart will truly be missed by many.
In addition to her parents, Lizzie was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Higgins; and four brothers, Fredrick, Joseph, McKiver, and Charles Wider.
