Mrs. Ashley L Flemon

Ashley LeAnn Flemon, the daughter of Connie Lybrand Williams and the late Nathaniel Anderson, was born on September 30, 1982 in Columbia, South Carolina. Ashley gracefully transitioned from her earthly journey to her heavenly home on January 16, 2020 in the presence of her family, close friends, and loved ones.

Ashley became a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in St. Matthews, South Carolina at a very young age. She served there as a member of the Usher Board and Praise Team. As a young adult, she was a devoted member of the Word of God Church and Ministries International, where she served faithfully with the ACTIV8 and Greater Team.

Ashley was educated in the public schools of Lexington & Calhoun County. She graduated from Calhoun High School, class of 2000. Ashley furthered her education at Midlands Technical College and the University of South Carolina, earning her Bachelor of Science degree.  After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she felt compelled to pursue her Nursing Degree.  Ashley was employed by Lowman Home, Bryan Center, NWC Health Care, and Still Hopes where she loved and cared for aging adults in her community. Ashley viewed her career as an act of sacrifice and service not only for seniors, but for her heavenly Father as well.

Ashley married the love of her life, Brandon, seven years ago and from this beautiful union, one amazing little girl was born, Isabella Grace Flemon.

Ashley had an amazing spirit that exuded her love for Christ. Those who came in contact with her were left wanting to know the God she served. She was a devoted and virtuous woman of God and an awesome sister and friend. She accepted life as it came and never complained. Ashley beared the cross given to her, always choosing to smile and laugh. Her love for God’s word kept her going. She always trusted and believed God to do what He said He would do.

Ashley Flemon was preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel Anderson; grandmothers, Nancy Anderson and Melsena Corley; grandfathers, Bishop Tommy Anderson, Sr. and J.C. Carter; and great-grandmother, Alene Lybrand.

Ashley leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Brandon Lemar Flemon; daughter, Isabella Grace Flemon; mother, Connie (Brian) Lybrand-Williams; sisters, Sophia Lybrand and Crystal Colter; brothers, Justin (Latisha) Anderson and Marcos (Trequieria) Anderson; mother-in-law, Sheryle (Russell) Curenton; father-in-law, Willie “Joe” Penny; siblings-in-law, Jarris Flemon, Desmond Flemon, Felicia Flemon, Lavelle Roe, Laveltrishia Flemon, Jacob Roe and Russealia Curenton; a special friend, Barbara Peterson;  and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
