Mrs. Adell Johnson

Adell Brittingham Johnson was born on July 11, 1952 to the late John Butler and Edell Starks in Columbia, South Carolina. She quietly transitioned to her heavenly home on Monday, December 20, 2021.

Adell was educated in the public schools of Richland County and was a graduate of C. A. Johnson High School. She was a hardworking, dedicated employee of Richland School District Two at E. L. Wright Middle School and Forest Lake Elementary.

Adell joined Greenview Baptist Church at an early age. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend. Adell will always be remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit and laughter.

In addition to her parents, Adell was preceded in death by her sisters, Bertha May Boyd and Elsie Lee Jones.

Adell leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Tyrone “Butchie” Johnson of Columbia, SC; daughter, Laronda Harrell; sons, San-ta Harrell, Jonathan (Tawiah) Entzminger, and Tyrone Lamar Johnson; siblings, Victoria Brown of NC, Dell Kate Hopkins of Alexandria, VA, Roberta Geter, Linda Brittingham, James (Belinda) Brittingham, and Mary (Melvin) Jennings all of Columbia, SC; sister-in-law, Teisha Brown of Greensboro, NC; fifteen grandchildren, Daveon, Jervay, Nicholas, Dasia, Dallas, Hallie, Brooklin, Morgan, Austin, Tyler, Taylor, Tristan, Denim and Sany-a; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
