Mr. Yancy Roberts

Yancy Bernard Roberts was born on April 24, 1960, to the late Anna L. Roberts.  He departed this life on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at home surrounded by family.  

Yancy was a graduate of Lower Richland High School.  He was employed with the City of Columbia for some years, and later retired from his job as a driver for Defender Services. He was member the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in Columbia, South Carolina.  

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his five siblings, Daniel, Matthew, Elsie, Isabella, and Jesse.  

He leaves to cherish his memories three brothers, Jeffrey (Melessa) Roberts of Hopkins, SC, Dale Roberts of Columbia, SC, and Moses Roberts of Huntington Beach, CA; two sisters, Linda Chapman of Hopkins, SC and Theresa Roberts of Sumter, SC; two sisters in law, Casandra Cherry of Eastover, SC and Casandra Roberts of Columbia, SC, and other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
