Tommy Glenn Brasley,Sr. was born on October 10, 1947 in Laurens County, South Carolina. He was the fourth of twelve children born to Willie Clifton and Sally Brasley. He entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 12, 2020.
Tommy was educated in the public schools of Laurens County. He was an active member of Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church. Tommy was a master left-handed brick mason. He passed his left-handed trait down to most of his grandchildren. He worked as a brick mason until his health began to decline. He was also an avid gardener. His greens were the best in town.
Tommy was preceded in death by his daughter, Sovilla Brasley; and three brothers, James Brasley, Johnny Brasley and Charles Brasley, Sr.
Tommy leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mary Brasley; three sons, Tommy (Veronica) Brasley, Jr., Chris (Wanda) Dubard, and DeVante Brasley-Greene; two daughters, Sandra (Lindsay) Bolton and Latrica “Shonta” Brasley; two brothers, Roger (Brenda) Brasley, Sr. and Allen (Deborah) Brasley; six sisters, Maxine (Lester) Kelly, Maurine (Oscar) Boyles, Carolyn (Leon) Harts, Shirley (Leslie) Fisher, Lynda (Lewis) Burns, and Frankie (Alphonso) Gadson; three brothers-in-law, James (Barbara) Hughes, Joe (Geraldine) Hughes and Albert (Maxine) Hughes; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three uncles; two aunts; two special nieces, Brenda Anderson and Sylvia Gail Robinson; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
