Thomas Gladney was born on January 7, 1950 in Prosperity, South Carolina to the late Allen and Mary Francis Gladney. He departed his earthly journey on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at the age of 70.
Thomas was educated in the public schools of Newberry County. He was a graduate of Gallman High School. He later attended Buffalo Community College in Buffalo, New York as a part-time student.
Thomas loved his family. He also loved to fish and play the lottery. Thomas was an avid animal lover and he especially loved his Rottweiler “Chu-Chu”, also known as “Chuck”. His favorite past times were watching television and being on his cell phone.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Gladney, Preston Gladney, and John Hunter; and sisters, Mamie Singleton, Florence Johnson, Lottie Hopkins, Maggie Bell Jeter, Victoria Parks, and Nellie Gray.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jacqueline Diane Gladney; two daughters, Tiari Kanisuis Gladney and Deondra Shamar Gladney; three sisters, Alice Adams, Betty Sims and Elizabeth Lindsey; two brothers, Willie (Dorothy Mae) Gladney and Boysie (Martha) Gladney; and one sister-in-law, Berneatha Gladney.
