Robert Lee Woodard, Jr., passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 67.
Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. For 47 years, he shared a loving marriage with his beloved wife, Judith Lynn Woodard. He also held a special place in his heart for his cherished dog, Jemma.
He is lovingly survived by his children, Nicole Lynn Woodard (Kevin) and Cortney Michelle Woodard. He was a proud grandfather to Aubrey Warner (Quinton), Callie Poplin, David “DJ” White, Jr., Alexis White (Dylan), Emily Oliver, and Jayden Steele. His legacy continues through his great-grandchild, Lucas Fowler.
Robert is also survived by his siblings: Cheryl Innes (Doug), Thomas Woodard (Keri), Robin Patrone (Vic), and Jodi Walkowski (Jim); his brother-in-law, Jim Meilenner, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and many close friends who were like family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Bonello (Sam); his father, Robert Lee Woodard, Sr.; his brother, Bill Woodard; and his sister-in-law, Cheryl Meilenner.
Robert will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and for the simple joys that brought him happiness—his love of all genres of music, NASCAR, Detroit, the Michigan Wolverines, and weekend trips to the flea market with his wife and grandchildren. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life for Robert will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026.
