Michael Clint Davis passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born on October 17, 1956, in Newark, NJ to Harold Augustus Davis Sr. and Elista Mae Patricia Williams Davis, he was the eldest of six children. In 1966, the family moved to Marion, SC, where he grew up.
A 1974 graduate of Marion High School, Michael earned his degree from Francis Marion College in 1980. He pledged Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated in 1979, proudly upholding its values throughout his life. He cherished learning, reading the Bible and enjoyed games of spades and chess.
On November 15, 1980, Michael Married Virginia Abrams. Their union was blessed with two children, Vincent Davis and Valjean Bacot Davis. Michael began his career at DuPont in Florence, SC, and spent over 25 years at the Internal Revenue Service in Atlanta, GA, earning respect for his wisdom, dedication, and quiet strength.
Michael worshipped with Mt. Olive Seventh-Day Adventist Church and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, eventually becoming a member of Harvester Church Chapel Hill. His faith guided his life, and he was known for his warmth, intelligence, contagious laughter, and steadfast love for his family.
Michael was preceded in death by his father (1996), his son, Vincent (2009), his sister, Kimberly Wright (2016), and his mother (2019). He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Valjean and Allison Moran; four siblings and their spouses, Harold Jr., Brigitte and David Toomer, Stephan and Patricia Davis, and Gregory and Jarek Davis; one cherished granddaughter, August; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
His life leaves a lasting legacy of faith, family, and love. May his memory be a blessing.
