Mr. Matthew McQuown

Matthew James McQuown , the beloved son of James Allan and Nancy McQuown, died at 27 years of age. He was born in Walterboro,South Carolina on July 12,1997.

Matthew spent his elementary school years in Hinesville,GA and attended middle and high school in Greenwood,SC. He graduated from Greenwood School District 50. He had a gentle spirit and wonderful sense of humor. Matthew loved his family and friends. He always had a great rapport with our pets when he was growing up. He enjoyed skateboarding and playing saxophone. Matthew loved cooking and he loved to eat Southern food. He will be greatly missed. He was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Hinesville,GA and he attended Greenwood Community Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his parents, his sisters Emmie Mai (Michael and niece Rosa), Beth McQuown (Josh), and Anna McQuown (Davin), Grandmother Patricia Thompson, and many aunts,uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents James and Peggy McQuown and L.T. “Speed” Thompson.

Memorials can be sent to the Faith Home Greenwood SC. A private family burial will take place at Bulloch Memorial Gardens in Statesboro,GA. The family is at 917 TeePee Way, Statesboro,GA 30461.
