Mr. Lamont Powell

Mr. Lamont Powell was born June 16, 1970 in Newark, New Jersey. He was the son of the late Heneritta L. Powell & John Powell. He departed his life on July 23, 2024.

Mr. Powell attended public school in Newark, NJ until he relocated to Columbia, SC and then was further educated in Lexington School District #5. Mr. Powell had several jobs as a Meat Cutter at Piggly Wiggly and Bi-Lo. His most recent occupation was with Blocker Construction. He enjoyed people, music, and watching tv.

In addition to his parents, Lamont was preceded in death by his son, Jerard Powell; brother, Robert Lorick; sister, Rosalyn Lorick; grandmother, Helen L. Robinson and his step-grandfather, Silas Robinson.

Lamont leaves to cherish his fond memories: his brothers, Terrance (Brenda) Powell of West Columbia, SC and Derrick Powell of East Orange, NJ; an uncle, Roger (Janell) Lorick of Columbia, SC; aunts, Myrtice Lorick of Rock Hill, SC and Dorothy Robinson of Irmo, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
