Mr. Kevin Osborne

Kevin Lamont Osborne, age 55, of Columbia, South Carolina, entered eternal rest on May 3,
2025. He was born on January 14, 1970, in Columbia, SC.
Kevin was educated in the Richland County public school system and later earned his GED. A
gifted basketball player, Kevin was known for his athleticism and competitive spirit on the court.
He will be remembered as a man whose personality encompassed love, boldness, and
compassion—a presence that left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, John Osborne, Sr.; his beloved grandmother, Hattie
White; two daughters, Latisha Lawrence and Brittany Lawrence; and a special cousin, Carlos
Tucker.
Kevin leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Patrice Smith Osborne; his children,
Dajuan (Lawrencia) Lawrence, Kamiya Osborne, and Zaniya Pearson; his loving mother,
Reverend Queen Esther Osborne; and his siblings: Erica (Tyrone) Zigler, Vanessa (Aaron)
Haggins, Johnnie Mae Davis, Latrice Wright, Tarsha Osborne, Towanda Myers, Keshia
Duggans, Crystal Duggans, Tanaya Martin, John Osborne, Jr., Delshawn Prescott, and
Dominique Prescott.
He is also survived by nine cherished grandchildren; two devoted aunts, Iris Tucker and Shirley
Thomas; his in-laws, Linda Martin and David (Jackie) Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Kevin’s life was one of strength, love, and unforgettable presence. Though he is no longer with
us in body, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
