Mr. James Francis Washington

In Loving Remembrance of James

James Francis Washington was born on October 14, 1955 in Georgetown, South Carolina, a son of Mr. Thomas Washington and Mrs. Matilda Blake Washington. James received his education from Georgetown County Public Schools and graduated from Howard High School.

After completing his early education, he made a significant commitment to his country by enlisting in the United States Army on December 1, 1975. During his time in the military, he served as a Heavy Construction Equipment Operator and a Unit Supply Specialist, demonstrating his dedication and loyalty until he received an Honorable Discharge. Throughout his life, James pursued various occupations including healthcare supply, food service and serving with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, James departed from this world, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy that will be remembered by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Romeo Washington and Tony Coulant Washington; and a son, James Harold Washington.

Those who remain to cherish his loving memories are: his wife, Dianne Singleton Washington; his children: Theotis Washington (Natasha) and Adrian Washington of Columbia, SC; two granddaughters, Emani Washington and Amani Washington; two brothers, Elder Terrance Washington of Harlem, NY, and Michael Washington (Ellen) of Georgetown, SC; two sisters, Patricia Washington Glenn (Willis) of Columbia, SC, and Diana Augustus of Marietta, GA; two aunts, Qadriyyah Wazeeruddin of New York, NY and Bensuela Green of Philadelphia; one uncle, George Washington; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other dear relatives and friends.
