Mr. Herbert Earl Collins

Herbert Earl Collins was born on August 26, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Edward C. Collins, Sr. and Isabelle Rhodes Collins. On Thursday, August 20, 2020 Herbert Earl Collins transitioned from his heavenly life to his earthly home.  

Herbert was educated in the school system of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Herbert LOVED caring for his family and his love for music was unquestionable. His passion for music was the driving force that lead him to become a well-known Disc Jockey. DJ Mighty Squirrel as he was affectionately known by many remained in New Orleans until 2015. After Hurricane Katrina, Herbert relocated to South Carolina.

Herbert joined and became a loving and faithful member of Christian Faith Fellowship under the guidance and leadership of Pastor Kenneth B. Ratliff.

Herbert leaves to cherish his loving memory his beautiful children, Bridget Fortner, Belinda Thomas, Herbert Thomas, and Kei’Andra Collins; 11 grandchildren; Christian Faith Fellowship Church Family; and a host of other loving relatives and friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
