Mr. Giovanni Copeland

Giovanni Neal Copeland, affectionately known as Gio, was born on January 30, 2008, in Columbia, South Carolina to Christopher Copeland and Roxana Perez.  He departed this earthly journey on Thursday, August 4, 2022 in Hopkins, South Carolina. 

Gio was educated in the public schools of Richland County School District One and was just promoted from Crayton Middle School to the ninth grade. 

Gio loved his family and was an avid gamer. He kept to himself but was full of life.  To know him, was to love him.  He enjoyed playing Mortal Kombat, Injustice, and Red Dead Redemption on is X-Box.  Gio also enjoyed anime and was a big fan of Attack on Titan and Naruto.

Gio was preceded in death by his maternal great grandmother, Carmen Perez.

Gio leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother, Roxana Perez; Christopher Copeland; maternal grandparents, Hector and Ana Perez; paternal grandparents, Dennis and Phyllis Copeland; three aunts, Roxabel (Trelvis) Luckey, Zuleima Perez, and DeAnna Copeland; uncles, Alexis Perez and Luis Perez; special cousins, Jalen Luckey, Levi Luckey, Bella Luckey, Luijo Jimenez, Zullimar Abella, Shallimar Abella, and Jaden Copeland; best friend, Chase Bush; and a host of loving relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
