Mr. George Estrada Obituary

Mr. George Estrada, a devoted and cherished soul, was born on April 11, 1953, in the vibrant city
of Santiago de Cuba. He was the beloved son of Delores Estrada and Roberto Estrada, Sr., who
instilled in him the values of hard work, love, and perseverance. Sadly, George's earthly journey
came to a close on the very day he entered this world—April 11, 2025—marking the end of a life
well-lived, full of love, laughter, and devotion.
George's early years were spent in Arlington, Virginia, where he attended Washington Lee High
School, excelling both academically and personally. His time there set the foundation for a life
that would be dedicated to service, growth, and family. Upon graduation, George felt the call to
serve his country and enlisted in the U.S. Army, proudly serving in the Vietnam War. His
courage and commitment during his time in the military were reflective of the deep sense of duty
that guided him throughout his life.
Once George returned to the United States after his military service, he sought to continue his
education and better himself for the future. He attended Midlands Technical College for two
years, where he studied to become an electrician. His passion for learning did not stop there; his
thirst for knowledge led him to further his studies at the University of Miami, where he pursued a
degree in Computer Engineering. This period of his life was marked by a deep desire to
understand the world around him and to build a career that would allow him to make a lasting
impact.
Throughout his life, George found great comfort and inspiration in his faith. He was an active
and loving member of the New Beginning Outreach Ministries International, where he found a
second family under the guidance and leadership of Pastor Kadesha Jenkins and Pastor Shawn
Jenkins. The church became a central part of his spiritual journey, and his faith in God was
unwavering.
George was a man who knew how to love and how to show it in every possible way. Above all,
he adored his wife, Linda Estrada, with a passion that never wavered. He would often speak of
her with the utmost affection, and his words were always filled with pride as he would say, “my
wife, my wife.” His love for her was unconditional, and it was evident in every aspect of his life.
Whether it was cooking, cleaning, entertaining, or dancing, George approached everything with a
joyful heart and a deep desire to make those around him feel loved and appreciated.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delores and Roberto Estrada, whose love and guidance
shaped him into the man he became. As we bid farewell to George, we find comfort in knowing
that he is now at peace, reunited with his parents and watching over his family from above. His
spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched, and his memory will remain forever in
our hearts.
Though his time with us was far too short, George’s legacy will live on in the memories of those
who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a doting
grandfather. He leaves behind his loving wife of 16 amazing years, Linda Estrada, whose life he

filled with warmth and affection; his children, Phillip Estrada and Lauren Estrada (Chad)
Fletcher, who were his pride and joy; and his precious granddaughter, Caroline Fletcher, who
brought him immeasurable joy and happiness.
George was also the beloved brother of Roberto (Lucy) Estrada, and the cherished brother-in-law
of James (Caroline) White. His extended family, which includes many nieces, nephews, and a
vast network of lifelong friends, will miss him deeply. George had a way of making everyone
feel special, and his kind heart and infectious laughter will forever echo in the hearts of those
who knew him.
