Mr. Ernest Keith Simmons

Ernest Keith Simmons was born on August 31, 1965, in Columbia, SC. He was the son to the
late Captain Isiah Simmons and Margaret Simmons. He passed away on Friday, January 10,
2025.
Ernest was a 1983 graduate of the W. J. Keenan High School. He was as drummer in the Raiders
Marching Band and then moved on to the Raiders Football Team. In his youth, he attended
Northminster Presbyterian Church in Greenview.
Ernest was a loving brother, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone he met. His
dedication to his craft as master tile worker was extraordinary. His artistry and skill adorned
homes and businesses, leaving a lasting legacy of beauty. Ernest approached his work with
passion and creativity. Whether sharing stories, lending a helping handing, or bringing laughter
to any room; he was a source of light and joy. His memory will be cherished by all who had the
privilege to know him.
In addition to his parents, Isiah and Margaret Simmons, Ernest was preceded in death by his
oldest brother, Isiah Jr.
Ernest leaves to cherish his memories with, his sister, Jackie S. Mason; brothers, Larry D.
Simmons and Frederick E. Simmons; aunts, Ethel Boyd and Linda Bell; a host of nieces,
nephews, loving relatives and caring friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
