Mr. David Martin

Please do not cry for me as I am where I want to be! Hallelujah I am Free!

David Marshall Martin, affectionately known as Davey, born to the late James George Martin and the late Leah Anne Bray Martin on November 3, 1950, in Detroit Michigan. He died peacefully on Thursday, June 23, 2022, in Columbia, South Carolina.  

Davey loved life and spent most of it in California where he ran recovery homes until he moved to Ocala, Florida to be close to his daughter and grandsons.  After falling ill, Davey moved to South Carolina where his niece cared for him until his passing. He was active in church and loved the Lord. 

in addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick William Martin.

David is survived by his daughters, Monika Marie (Colin) Martin Ansbro and Desiree Martin; three grandchildren, Evanne Mae Gardner, Maxxtin Ansbro, and Caiden Ansbro; brother, James Michael Martin; sister Martha Anne Gantt (Richard); and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews.
