David Warren Brown, affectionately known as “Buddy”, was born on November 4, 1971, to Larry W. and Jimmie Nell Wise in Columbia, South Carolina. He departed his earthly life on January 11, 2022.
David attended the public schools of Richland County, South Carolina and received his GED in the Job Corps of America. He became a Licensed Barber after returning from the Job Corp. David was a well-known Master Barber throughout Columbia. He loved cutting hair and was a walking billboard; he always kept a clean-cut beard and hair and dressed fashionably. He cut hair until his health began to fail.
David was baptized at Word of God Church and Ministries International in Columbia, South Carolina. He loved to cook and fish on his down time. He was a proud Free Mason and received his Master Mason Certificate on June 10, 2017. David loved football, his favorite college team was the Clemson Tigers, and his favorite NFL team was the New York Giants. His favorite colors were blue and pink, and his favorite television show was Sanford and Son. Everyone in his presence always felt welcomed, no one was ever a stranger to him.
David was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George Robinson and Alberta Wise; maternal grandparents, Jim, Jr. and Daisy L. Brown; uncle, Barnard (Linda) Brown; and aunt, Geneva Brown.
David leaves to cherish his loving memories his daughter, Taylor Brown; his parents, Larry and Jimmie Nell Wise; brothers, Darrell (Letita) Brown, Donald (Denise) Brown; sister, Victoria (Joseph) Barnett; paternal uncles, Frankie (Verna) Wise, and Lawrence Wise; maternal uncles, Larry (Brenda) Brown, Lonell Brown, Lloyd (Cheryl) Brown; maternal and favorite aunt, Elaine Brown; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
