Mr. Charles Heyward

Charles E. Heyward was born on October 26, 1951 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late William “Mozan” and Cornelia Aiken Heyward. He departed this earthly journey on September 28, 2022.

Charles was educated in the public schools of Richland County. He was employed by Pacific Textile Mill where he was a machinist. He retired after many years of dedicated service. After retirement, Charles devoted his time to helping seniors to run errands, taking his friend to dialysis appointments, landscaping, and mechanics. He was passionate about helping people and was loved by all of his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brother, William “Cowboy” Heyward.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories his son, Kenyon V. Heyward; daughter, Quiana N. (Daniel) Pena; three grandchildren, Kenyon Heyward, II, Davon Heyward, and Shannon Heyward; four sisters, Shirley Heyward, Lucy Miller, Rosa White, and Delores Jones; and a host of other loving relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
