Caesar Al Clemons, Sr. was born on February 17, 1968, through the union of Manhines, Sr. and Alphine Clemons. On January 5, 2025, he transitioned from this earthly tabernacle to enter his eternal rest.
Caesar was educated in the public schools of Richland County and attended C. A. Johnson High School where he played football and also drove the school bus. He was a formidable linebacker known as “The Bone Crusher” and if you ever shook his hand you would feel his power. Caesar earned a scholarship to play football for Fort Valley State College upon graduating from high school in 1986.
Caesar was very loving, passionate, and full of vitality and vigor. These attributes were often misinterpreted, nevertheless they fashioned him into an amazing man and athlete. Caesar was also known as one of the best barbers in the Columbia area, affectionately known as the “Barbershop Man”. His skills with the clippers were second to none and he often had a line of customers waiting for his services.
Caesar leaves to cherish his loving memories his two children, Caesar Al Clemons, Jr. of Dallas, TX and Caera Alexis Clemons of Columbia, SC; his parents, Manhines Clemons, Sr. and Alphine Clemons; two brothers, Harold (Brenda) Clemons of Irmo, SC and Manhines Clemons, Jr. of Columbia, SC; one aunt, Georgia M.
