Mr. Alexander W. Gaston

Alexander Wardell Gaston, affectionately known as “Ducky”, was born on July 12, 1957 in Fairfield County, South Carolina to the late John R. Gaston, Sr. and Josie Glenn Gaston. He departed this earthly journey on June 4, 2022.

Alexander was educated in the public schools of Fairfield County and was a proud graduate of Winnsboro High School, Class of 1976. He furthered his education at Benedict College. Following his college journey, Alexander enlisted in the United States Air Force and earned the rank of Sergeant while serving. He was later employed by the State of South Carolina and retired after twenty-five years of dedicated service.

Alexander accepted Christ as his Savior and attended Shiloh First Presbyterian Church in Winnsboro, South Carolina where he served the ministry faithfully. He was a proud father and grandfather and loved his family deeply.

Alexander leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving son, Sean Alexander Gaston; two granddaughters, Aulani and Logan Gaston; two brothers, John Russell (Juanita) Gaston, Jr. and Alvin (Yvonne) Gaston; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.
