Ms. Samantha "Sam" Jackson

Ms. Samantha “Sam” Jackson was born November 2, 1971 in Columbia South Carolina to Doris Young Jackson and the late Albert “Blue” Jackson Sr.

“Sam” as she was affectionately known, was truly a pure angel at heart. Sam though born with many physical limitations, was never limited in the love and compassion she showed to others.  From every family member, to every family friend, to every caretaker, she literally stole their hearts!  The love Sam showed to all was pure and true. She enjoyed listening to music, writing in her journals and books, laughing spending time with family. Sam was definitely the boss of her family and everyone knew it.

Samantha was educated in the public schools of Richland County and graduated from the Brockman Orthopedic School. After graduating, she was an active client at Babcock Centers on both Shop Road and North Main Street in Columbia SC.  Samantha was a member of Columbia First – Seventh Day Adventist Church, Lexington SC.    

Sam quietly and peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on April 19, 2018 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia SC after an extensive illness.

Samantha, also leaves to cherish her memories her sister Keisha L. Jackson-Perry or “Kee” as she affectionately called her, her brothers, Albert Jackson Jr. – “June”, Bernard Jackson “Bunny or Barnar”, all of Columbia South Carolina and Reginald Jackson “Heggie”, of Spring Valley New York and a very special Uncle – Mr. Doby Young Of Blair SC.  She was also encamped in love and protected by her loving nephews, Torrie, Christopher, Austin and nieces, Melanie, Clarke, Indigo, Abrianna, Kennedy and a host of other relatives and friends, who will all miss her dearly.
