Ms. Gloria Louise Patterson

Gloria Jean Louise Patterson was born on August 1, 1962 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Ben and Marsha B. Patterson. On Thursday, December 27, 2018, Gloria transitioned from this earthly journey to enter into eternal life with God.

Gloria was educated in the public schools of Richland County and attended Rice Business College.

At an early age, Gloria was baptized at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church, where she sang on the Young Adult Choir as a teenager.

Gloria worked at Embassy Suites Hotel, Ed Robinson Cleaners, and C.M. Tucker State Hospital.

She dedicated her life to helping family and friends. To know “Glo” was to love her. She loved music, singing, and dancing.​

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her sister, Chevonne Patterson; and two brothers, Bennie Patterson and Ernest Patterson.

Loving and cherished memories of Gloria will forever remain with her one son, Steven (Andrea) Patterson; two daughters, Felicia (Lydell) Patterson and Rayshell Hart; one stepson, Demario Hart; one sister, Bobbie Jean P. Anderson; three brothers, Calvin Lee Patterson, Eugene Patterson and Jeffery Patterson; eleven grandchildren; two aunts, Kissiah Green and Martha Patterson; one great-grandchild; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
