Ms. Georgetta Williams

Ms. Georgetta Williams, the oldest of 14 siblings, was born on July 29, 1959 to Richard Price, Sr. and the late Henrietta Alford. She was called from labor to reward on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the age of 60.

“Getta” was educated in the public schools of Darlington County and was a graduate of Spaulding High School, class of 1977.

“Getta” was employed with Darlington County School District for over 10 years, where she worked in School Nutrition Services.

“Getta” then moved to Columbia, SC in 2012 where she became a member of The Word of Transformation Center. She served there faithfully for 8 years.

Georgetta was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Williams, Sr.; and two brothers, Bernard Price and Tony Alford.

Those left to cherish her memories are one son, Ronnie (Shanika) Williams of Columbia, SC; one daughter, Treaka Williams, of Columbia, SC.; five grandchildren, Alexus Wasi, DeAndre Wasi, Trinity Tedder, Christopher Williams, and Janae’ Williams, all of Columbia, SC; three maternal sisters, Teresa (Robert) Swift of Upper Marlboro, MD, Diane Alford, of Hampton, VA, and Antoinette Alford of Newport News, VA; two paternal sisters, Angela Raye of NC, and Regina (Edward) Wilson of Columbia, SC; seven paternal brothers , Richard (Debra) Price of Greenville, SC, Darrell (Helga) Price of Broken Arrow, OK, Michael (Melinda) Price of Columbia, SC, Kenneth (Emma) Price of Darlington, SC, Dwayne (Alexandria) Price of Kassel, Germany, Patrick (Melisa) Price of Stafford, VA, and Terence (Chriszetta) Price of Columbia, SC; a first cousin, Shirley (Furnice) Mack of Darlington, SC who grew up as a sister; a special friend, Calvin Martin of Darlington, SC; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her Word of Transformation Center church family, who will all miss her dearly.
