Ms. Doris Smith

Doris Jean McLendon-Smith was born October 10, 1950 to Arthur Lee and Sara McLendon in Cordele, Georgia at Crisp County Hospital.  Doris was the fourth child of five children.  Doris departed this earthly journey on March 31, 2018.

Doris was preceded in death by three siblings, William “Billy” McLendon as known as "Chico", Shirley M. Thompson and Arthur Lee McLendon, Jr.   

The joy of Doris’ earthly walk will be forever cherished by her loving son, Marco McLendon and wife, Naneika of Atlanta, GA; daughter, KaTrina McLendon of Columbia; her only surviving sibling, Betty Kirkland of Charlotte, NC; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins,  many sorrowing friends and co-workers, as well as her New Ebenezer Baptist Church family.
