My condolences to the family. To lose a loved one in death is most distressing. Our loving heavenly father provides comfort in his word the Bible to help soothe the pain of grief and sadness. Psalm 34:18 says; Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit. Also the promise at Revelation 21:4 is  very  comforting.  It  states; And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.
