Ms. Annette Folk

Annette Folk was born on April 27, 1956, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Willie James Folk and Aszalee Sease. She departed this earthly journey on Friday, July 12, 2019.

At an early age, the family moved to Bamberg, South Carolina, where Annette graduated from Bamberg Ehrhardt High School.  She furthered her education at Denmark Technical College and received an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. 

Annette was a member of Second Nazareth Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina. 

Annette spent most of her time volunteering in public schools, preparing delicious meals in her kitchen, crafting in her garden, and caring for her grandchildren.  Annette was a great mother and excellent grandmother. She was known by many for being a real friend. She was well loved and will forever live through her family and friends.  

In addition to her father, Annette was preceded in death by her niece, Lashonda Williams; and two great-aunts, Cell Folk and Easterbell Folk.

Those left to cherish her precious memory are her four beautiful children, Ruben (Shantell) Folk, Barris (Nancy) Williams, Keysha Johnson and Shuqwanna Folk; her beloved mother, Aszalee Seas; her sister, Vanessa Williams; eight grandchildren, Rhaquis Saivion, Taheim Khalil, Sjniya Monae, Janlka Keeshay, Ta’myla T’Aunna, Ty’zariah Nevaeh, Caleb Kasiem, K’Den Mikel; a cousin, Faye Bennett; and a host of family and dear friends.
