Mrs. Fannie Mack Obituary

Fannie Mae Mack was born on November 2, 1964 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Joseph and Louella Mack, Sr. She departed this earthly journey on January 14, 2020 surrounded by family.

Fannie was educated in the public schools of Richland County and was a graduate of A.C. Flora High School, class of 1983.

Fannie was formerly employed with First Priority Homecare and Carepro Homecare.

Fannie was raised in Rehoboth United Apostolic Church under the leadership of the late Bishop C.L. Lorick, Sr., where she served as a member from birth until 2015. She then became a member of Perfecting Faith Church in Blythewood, SC under the leadership of Pastor Warren D. Robinson until she became ill.  In August of 2019, Fannie joined Church of the Harvest under the leadership of Pastor Stacey Lewis, where she attended and served until her death.

Fannie dedicated her life to encouraging and helping others during transitional periods in their lives. She fed the homeless and provided a safe haven to those in need by opening the doors of her home. Fannie was a prayer warrior and missionary, always displaying the fruits of the spirit. She never met a stranger and always ensured that no one felt alone. A few of her favorite scriptures were Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 23 and Isaiah 41:10. She truly lived the life that she talked about. Fannie was affectionately known as “Gah Gah” by her loving grandchildren, and was also known as “Tip” by her siblings and friends growing up.

Fannie was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Louella Mack, Sr.; brother, Joseph Mack, Jr.; and grandson, Jeremiah Cunningham.

Fannie leaves to cherish her precious memory her children, Fernando (Tamara) Mack and Shanada (James) Cunningham, both of Columbia, SC; step-daughter, Nitikki Miller of Gaffney, SC; eight grandchildren; five sisters, Pamela (Richard) Martin of Richmond, VA, Pearlie Utsey, Reatha James, Jacqueline (Stacey) Lewis, and Nettie (George) Brown, all of Columbia, SC; two brothers, Tyrone Mack and Charles Mack, both of Columbia, SC; two God-children, Elisha Stuckey of Columbia, SC, and Devin Wise of Camden, SC; a special niece, Tehillah Lewis; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
