On Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the age of 85 years old God reached out His hand to Fannie Mae Mack- Bright and called a beautiful angel home to receive her wings.
Fannie Mae Mack-Bright was born on January 28, 1933 to the late Edward and Johnnie Mae Kirby-Mack. She attended Richland County Public Schools.
In addition, Fannie Mae Mack-Bright fell in love and on September 25, 1959 joined in holy matrimony to the late Thomas Bright Sr. in Columbia, South Carolina.
She became a housewife and from this union eight children were born, four girls and four boys. They were married for 43 years before his death in 2002.
Fannie Mae Mack-Bright was a strong woman of God to have lived 85 years. She was a member of Little Zion Baptist Church, 321 Fairfield Road, Blythewood South Carolina under the leadership of Reverend Eddie W. Davis.
Fannie is preceded in death by Janie Holmes, Arthur Mack, Robert Mack, Freddie Mack and Maggie Mack.
She is survived by her eight children, Dorothy Bright, Thelma (Michael) Austin, Thomas Bright Jr, Brenda Jacobs, Edward Bright, Gladys Bright, Douglas Bright, and Christopher Bright; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Lee Jackson and Mrs. Teena Clinton; eleven grandchildren, Maurice Jacobs, Bryan (Tamara) Bright, Tiffany Pearson, Douglas Bright Jr, Leona Jacobs, Jordan Jacobs, Cory Bright, Aaron Bright, Denzel Johnson, Angel Bright, and Juston Smith; ten great-grandchildren; one niece, Stacy (Tarence) Tyler; one nephew, Adam Jackson Jr; sisters-in-law, Merlene Mack, Essie Bright, Mary J. Sherman. Martha (Ike) Hammond, Dorothy B. (Olin) Edwards; a host of other relatives and friends all whom will miss her dearly.
