Vann, the last time I saw you was at the Home going services of Jessie Mills. You gave heartfelt reflections about our growing up together in Highland Park. As fate would have it, the Lord called you home less than 5 months later. I'm thankful to God for your infectious laugh, love for singing God's Praises, & Knowing you as a consistent friend since 1976. Gibson family....may you continue to feel God's presence...even in times such as these!

My deepest condolence to the family and friends of Mr. Van Gibson. I met Van through a very dear friend Tyra and he was such a loving, caring, outspoken and very intelligent man. He always knew what to say to make you laugh and his memories, his smile and all the good times we have had will never be forgotten. To the Gibson family: Please search your heart for words, the understanding and the reason for your loved one to be taken so soon. Know that God makes no mistakes. Vann and I have enjoyed A friendship during a time of fun, excitement and a sincere affection for people at an early age. Vann will be missed from the social activities as you would certainly expect to see his face. Rest in Heaven Vann, this is your season to be held in the arms of the Lord. Peace !!!

I met Vann in lease purchase class August of 2017 at Kllm truck driving academy we sat next to one another I was fresh into truck driving didn't know too much about anything last day of class he told me to put his number in my phone and give him a call if I ever ran into any problems and needed help so I did my first few weeks out was rough ran into several problems with my rig I called on Vann numerous times and no matter what time day or night he always answered and helped me I'm very grateful for that he was a good man and I'm blessed to have gotten a chance to meet him my heart goes out to the family I send my deepest sympathy may God continue to hold you all in your time of need

My deepest sympathy in the loss of your beloved family member. How comforting to know that when death claims one of our loved ones, others feel our pain, especially our heavenly father. That is why he provides comfort and encouragement from his word the Bible. Psalm 34:18 reminds us that "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit". And the beautiful promise for the future at Isaiah 25:8 which says; And he (God) will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe the tears from all faces.
