Mr. Tyrick Montekeyia Johnson

Tyrick Montekeyia Johnson was born in Columbia, South Carolina, June 1, 1979 to Nathaniel Alston, Sr. and Kathy Jones. He departed this earthly journey on April 20, 2019 to be reunited with the Lord.

Tyrick was educated in the public schools of Richland County and was a graduate of Eau Claire High School Class of 1997. He was enrolled at Purdue Global University majoring in Business Management.

Tyrick was employed by the South Carolina Department of Corrections. He also served in the United States of America Marine Corps.

Tyrick dedicated his life to his family, friends and loved ones. He had a personal relationship with God and accepted Jesus Christ as his savior. Those who knew him, loved his contagious caring personality and laughter. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing Madden. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. 

Tyrick was preceded in death by his grandfather, Benjamin Johnson.

Tyrick leaves to honor his memory his loving and devoted wife, Monica Johnson; four sons, Tyrick Johnson, Jr., Jahmin Harris, Derrius Lyles, and Tyler Johnson; two daughters, Tilia Johnson and Taylor Johnson; mother, Kathy (Reneth) Jones; father, Nathaniel (Lillian) Alston, Sr.; three siblings, Dasylleka Brown, Nathaniel Alston and Brian Price, Jr.; best friend, Jermaine Stewart; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
